OLYMPICS MAT HISTORY:

We hope you all enjoyed this year’s Olympics, especially the excitement of gymnastics. Most of you don’t know the history of the Floor Exercise coverings in our own facility: After the 1984 Olympics in L.A. the carpet was donated to Girl’s Inc. in Santa Barbara, where they used it a few years and then stored it. About 4 years ago they gave it to us. This is the famous mat of Mary Lou Retton and the Men’s Gold Team (Bart Connor, Tim Daggett, etc.) fame!

Chores Needed!:

The Johnson’s 20-year old daughter Lindsey is trying to raise money for a missions trip to Australia.
She is an experienced Pet-Sitter and very competent at housecleaning or light gardening.
Call 735-3238 or talk to Debra.

Benefits of Gymnastics:

Fitness! In this world of obese children, fitness is CRITICAL to their current and future health. Gymnastics classes are full of activities that will make your child more fit and help keep them healthy. You have them in the right place if fitness is important to you! (Tom Burgdorf, National Gymnastics Clinician & Nat’l AmeriKids Gym. Assoc.)

Important Tumble Tot & Kindergym Information:

The current session runs September 2-Oct. 27 (8 weeks). Tuition is due the first class of the session or will be subject to $5 additional charge. Students are allowed make-ups for missed classes.
We’d really like to open some other times, especially Thursday 6 p.m. KG and Monday 10 a.m. Tumble Tots. See office.
